Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a Plastics Packaging Manufacturer who is looking to add a mechanical/electrical maintenance technician to join their team. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician with specialized experience in injection molding machines and resin dryers. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex plastic processing equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on injection molding machines (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Husky, etc.).

  • Maintain and service resin drying equipment (e.g., desiccant dryers, hopper dryers, central drying systems).

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Calibrate, align, and test machinery to ensure proper operation.

  • Assist in mold changeovers and setup support to ensure production readiness.

  • Collaborate with process engineers, operators, and other maintenance team members to minimize downtime.

  • Document all maintenance activities and generate work orders in the CMMS system.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts for machine performance and maintenance processes.

  • Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and tools required for timely repairs.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific expertise in injection molding and resin drying equipment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems and basic electrical schematics.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
