Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment issues, completing preventive maintenance, and responding to production downtime in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
This is an opportunity will be a rotating 12-hour schedule. Day and night shift opportunities may be available, with shifts running approximately 6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. The repeating rotation includes weekdays and weekends, with the additional 30 minutes supporting shift communication and handoff.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues across automated manufacturing and assembly equipment
Diagnose 24V I/O, sensors, photo eyes, electrical components, and basic automation faults
Respond to equipment downtime and perform equipment resets, component replacements, and repairs
Complete scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities across production equipment
Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and basic hydraulic equipment
Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation to diagnose failures
Perform basic troubleshooting on automated equipment and industrial robotics
Document preventive maintenance activities, equipment downtime, repairs, and recurring equipment issues
Required
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of manufacturing, industrial maintenance, automation, electrical/mechanical, or comparable technical experience preferred; relevant technical education or apprenticeship experience may be considered
Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience, including 24V I/O, sensors, photo eyes, and machine-level electrical components
Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair experience
Experience with pneumatic systems and basic hydraulic systems
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and industrial equipment maintenance
Ability to follow lockout/tagout and applicable industrial safety procedures
Desired
Technical certification or training in Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Fabrication, or a related technical discipline
Experience with industrial automation and PLC-based equipment troubleshooting
Exposure to industrial robots and collaborative robotic systems
Experience in automotive, JIT, assembly, or other high-volume manufacturing environments
Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens control systems
Forklift, manlift, or applicable industrial safety certifications
Experience with computerized preventive maintenance or equipment maintenance tracking systems
Advanced electrical schematic and blueprint reading capabilities
