Microtech Knives is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our facility’s day-to-day operations. This role is key to maintaining a safe, functional, and clean work environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in machinery upkeep, general facility maintenance, and janitorial tasks.
Facility Maintenance
Perform routine inspections and repairs for plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and general building infrastructure
Maintain structural elements such as doors, flooring, ceilings, windows, and roofing
Assist with furniture/equipment setup and teardown for internal events and meetings
Machinery Maintenance
Execute preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to reduce downtime
Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and other production tools
Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance, repairs, and service schedules
Janitorial & Upkeep
Clean and maintain restrooms, break areas, offices, and common spaces
Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal on a routine basis
Refill supplies in designated areas as needed
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Experience maintaining building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing)
Skilled in maintaining and repairing CNC and other precision manufacturing equipment
Skills & Abilities
Strong mechanical aptitude with effective troubleshooting skills
Proficient with hand and power tools
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
Well-organized with strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, climbing, and walking for extended periods
Comfortable working in variable environments (noise, dust, temperature fluctuations)
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance are a plus
