Job Overview:

Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

📍 Location:

*Farmington, Connecticut

• 💲 Pay Rate: $35 – $37.50/hour

🕒 Shift Available:

  • Second Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

    📅 Must be flexible within shift schedule, including possible weekends

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facility operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of facility machinery. Experience in a laundry environment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility machinery

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance

  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs

  • Create and update SOPs and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)

  • Communicate effectively with operators and management

  • Maintain and secure tools and workspace

  • Train new employees on proper maintenance procedures

  • Order tools and parts inventory as needed

  • Adhere to lockout/tagout protocols

  • Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work area

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Journeyman-level skill in at least one of the following:

    • HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, or PLC programming
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

  • Manual dexterity and computer literacy

  • Prior experience in a laundry or industrial environment preferred

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs

Physical & Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting with frequent material handling

  • Must use required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhat

  • Regular use of tools and machinery
