Position Overview
Engtal is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Technician to support its coil coating operation in Fairland, IN. This is a 100% hands-on, floor-based maintenance role supporting production equipment and plant utilities in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background while also being mechanically capable of troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
Schedule
3rd Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
2-2-3 Rotating Schedule- 2 days on
- 2 days off
- 3 days on
- 3 days off
- Rotation continues year-round
12-hour shifts with built-in overtime opportunities
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, controls, sensors, and industrial wiring
- Repair and maintain gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, chains, couplings, pumps, and rotating equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain plant utilities including boilers, evaporators, wastewater treatment equipment, and compressed air systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
- Document completed work in the CMMS
- Follow OSHA safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Must supply your own hand tools
- Comfortable working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
Preferred
- Experience in steel, aluminum, coil coating, or other heavy manufacturing environments
- CMMS experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Predictive maintenance experience

- 100% on the production floor
