Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assemble, Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and mechanical related equipment and fixtures in accordance with code compliance using hand and power tools
· Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment.
· Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects for adjustment and repair.
· Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
· Troubleshoot for proper mechanical operation of equipment and ensure safety systems, guarding, handrails, etc. are in place and functional
· Preventative maintenance on all pollution control devices as well as additional tasks as needed
· Maintain all pollution control devices in accordance to manufactures specifications
· Downtime prevention for all equipment
· Communicate across various levels of the organization to achieve departmental goals.
· Collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure production conformity.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
· Industrial manufacturing knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses and repair/maintenance.
· Industrial manufacturing Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved to make equipment repairs including the ability to use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
· Mechanical aptitude
· Willingness to jump in an learn
· High school diploma or GED
· Journeymen Certificate or equivalent preferred
· OSHA ARC Flash Training preferred
· Heavy manufacturing experience preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
· Handle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.
· The ability to see details at close and distant range with depth perception and the ability to see colors.
· Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.
· Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
· Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
