Job Overview:

2nd Shift Maintenance Tech Needed

  • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
  • Pay: $22-24 Hour
  • (premium on 2nd shift pay) *Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
  • Direct Hire opportunity
  • *Position is located in Edinburgh, Indiana at a major manufacturing facility.*

Job Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repair and maintain physical plant systems.
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as a lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma , trade or technical school certification, or equivalent

  • Candidate must have either Robotics, Hydraulics, and or Schematics experience.

  • 2 to 6 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, pump repair, and hydraulic/electric/mechanical systems is required.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, electrical diagrams, PLC wiring diagrams, and manufacturer equipment manuals.
