Position Summary
HOURS: M-F, 1:30PM - 10:00PM
We are seeking a
Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime, and partnering with production personnel to keep operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect, adjust, and calibrate machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production line support.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and work orders.
- Work closely with production teams to identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized service or repairs are required.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and complies with company safety standards.
- Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, efficiency, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist with installation, testing, and startup of new equipment as needed.
- Support operator training on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, or schematics is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, printing, packaging, or automated production environment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs or CMMS software.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, or automated equipment.
- Experience with conveyors, production lines, or industrial machinery.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
