This role requires expertise in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure plant operations remain efficient and compliant with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility infrastructure, dock plates, doors, and seals.
- Assist with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
- Reconfigure electrical and water systems to improve efficiency and safety.
- Lead emergency maintenance efforts and be on-call as needed.
Project Management & Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment and facilities.
- Work on new installation projects, including cost analysis and time estimates.
- Build and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
- Establish strong relationships with vendors to optimize repair costs and reduce reliance on external contractors.
Safety & Compliance:
- Identify and address safety hazards promptly.
- Ensure compliance with electrical, refrigeration, and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum three years of experience in maintenance, including electrical (single-phase and three-phase), programming, refrigeration, welding, fabrication, and building repairs.
Preferred:
- Experience in process improvement and best practices.
- EPA Universal Certification or Industrial Refrigeration Certification.
- Experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification and ability to obtain a CDL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
