Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable
Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift
to support our manufacturing facility through preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and building upkeep. This role works closely with shift maintenance personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoy working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician
- Perform major and minor electrical repairs and installations
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Complete preventive maintenance work orders
- Maintain burners and shot blast equipment
- Repair air tools and replace worn parts (hoses, wiring, belts, etc.)
- Perform minor building repairs, painting, and basic HVAC maintenance
- Replace HVAC filters and perform light system maintenance
- Assist with snow removal when needed
- Cover 2nd and 3rd shift maintenance when required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of maintenance or related experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to perform general facility maintenance
- Qualified electrician experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required Skills for Maintenance Technician
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities
- Comfortable using email and basic computer programs
- Ability to search online for parts and identify replacement components
