Job Description

Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, as well as supporting manufacturing operations and divisional objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Manufacturing Floor Support

1. Troubleshoot and repair equipment: Identify and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment and perform repairs to get equipment back online quickly.
2. Perform preventative maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting equipment, lubricating machinery, and replacing worn parts.
3. Collaborate with the operations team: Work with production staff to schedule maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize equipment performance.

Maintenance Administration

1. Maintain preventative maintenance database: Update and review maintenance records, schedules, and procedures.

Equipment Operation

Perform mold maintenance: Remove and install molds, hook up and set up equipment, and clean molds as necessary.

General Operations Support

1. Collaborate with engineers: Work with manufacturing engineers to optimize production operations, implement new methods, and commission new equipment.

2. Make recommendations: Identify opportunities to improve equipment or operations and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or a related field.

Technical skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with experience working with manufacturing equipment.

Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with production staff, engineers, and management.

Reporting

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Engineering Manager.
