Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a leading advanced manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled
Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for supporting automated material-handling equipment, responding to system interruptions, and performing preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and operational uptime.
Job Duties
- Respond to automated equipment faults, shutdown events, and system interruptions to restore operations quickly
- Investigate and resolve navigation, communication, and operational issues affecting autonomous vehicles
- Perform safe recovery procedures for disabled equipment and return units to designated operating or charging locations
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities on mobile robotic and automated transport systems
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components for wear, damage, or performance concerns
- Service battery systems, electrical connections, sensors, and related equipment to maintain system performance
- Clean, inspect, and calibrate onboard guidance and detection systems to ensure reliable operation
- Assist with equipment software updates, configuration backups, and system validation activities
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history within maintenance tracking systems
- Monitor spare parts inventory and identify replenishment needs for critical replacement components
Skills & Experience
Required
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Robotics, or a related field
- Experience troubleshooting automated equipment, robotics, material handling systems, or industrial machinery
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics
- Proficiency using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, electrical test instruments, and computer-based troubleshooting tools
- Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities in an industrial environment
- Familiarity with sensors, motors, controls, batteries, and industrial automation components
- Ability to work in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments requiring frequent bending, kneeling, and equipment access
Desired
- Experience supporting AGVs, AMRs, mobile robotics, or automated material handling systems
- Exposure to industrial networking, wireless communication systems, or equipment connectivity troubleshooting
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience supporting equipment firmware updates or configuration management activities
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance methodologies and reliability practices
- Understanding of automated safety systems and industrial equipment operating standards
- Previous experience in high-volume manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments
