I. Basic Function

The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This position supports safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Reporting to the appropriate maintenance or operations leadership, the Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities Including but Not Limited to Demonstrated Proficiency in the Following:

1. Primary Duties and Responsibilities1. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machines and plant facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

   2. Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and complete scheduled and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
   3. Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and work orders; diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
   4. Safely use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment while detecting and reporting faulty operations or unusual conditions to supervision.
   5. Comply with all safety regulations, maintain clean and orderly work areas, demonstrate computer competency (including Microsoft Office), and perform other duties as assigned.

2. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities1. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

   2. Support cross-functional teams, including production and sanitation, by providing technical guidance and maintenance expertise to resolve recurring issues.
   3. Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts inventory documentation, and work order updates while participating in training and skill development initiatives. Perform calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of lab testing equipment to ensure accurate results.

**III. Methods of Accountability

**

1. Provide oral and written updates to the Maintenance Manager on equipment status, completed work, and ongoing repairs.
2. Maintain accurate documentation, complete tasks on time, and ensure quality workmanship.

**IV. Standards of Performance

**

1. Accuracy and completeness of maintenance records, work orders, and reports.
2. Quality, consistency, and reliability of repair and preventive maintenance work performed.
3. Efficiency and timeliness in diagnosing issues and completing assigned maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
4. Demonstrated commitment to safety, technical skill development, and continuous improvement.

**V. Mental and Physical Requirements

**

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced, disruptive environment with minimal supervision.
2. Must manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
3. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
4. Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
5. Keep up with standards and operating procedures.

**VI. Education, Training and Experience

**

1. 4+ years of Manufacturing Experience
2. Strong Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and industrial skills
3. High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship

**VII. Working Environment and Conditions

**

1. Hearing protection & hairnet/beard net required.
2. Eye protection required for task specific functions.
3. Clothing is suitable to prevent entanglement in equipment.
4. A sometime hot/humid environment, greater than 80°.
