Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Baltimore, MD

$30.00 - $34.00 per hour (DOE)

1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm (Overtime Available)

Plastics / Packaging Manufacturer

We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join an established Plastics / Packaging Manufacturer in Baltimore, MD.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, maintaining high-speed production equipment while supporting plant reliability through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
• Repair and maintain printing presses, slitters, laminators and associated production equipment
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery
• Carry out general facility maintenance and building improvements
• Diagnose equipment faults and complete repairs to minimize downtime
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience as a Maintenance Technician within an industrial or manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• PLC troubleshooting experience
• Must provide your own basic hand tools (specialized tools supplied by the company)
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
