As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our facility operating at peak performance by:
· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and plant systems.
· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and VFD issues.
· Complete repairs involving welding, machining, fabrication, and electrical work.
· Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
· Monitor and maintain plant utility systems, including air compressors, fire protection systems, and facility equipment.
· Perform equipment changeovers and format/size adjustments.
· Calibrate and adjust metal detection systems while maintaining required documentation.
· Work closely with Production and Packaging teams to keep product flowing efficiently.
· Coordinate maintenance activities with outside contractors and vendors when needed.
· Prioritize work orders to support production schedules.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that increase reliability, safety, and efficiency.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all food safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications include:
· Associate degree in a maintenance-related field or at least three years of industrial maintenance experience (mechanical and/or electrical).
· Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
· Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley and Siemens) is highly preferred.
· Experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (Allen-Bradley) is a plus.
· Welding, machining, fabrication, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production teams.
