**Position Overview:

Our client in Ashland, VA, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing repairs, and ensuring production operations run efficiently.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to support continuous production. You'll work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime, increase equipment reliability, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.

**What You'll Do:

**

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to ensure continuous operation

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and equipment-related issues to minimize downtime and production interruptions

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency

  • Assist with the installation, modification, and upgrading of plant machinery and support equipment

  • Audit, inspect, maintain, repair, and replace critical equipment, machinery, and maintenance tools as needed

  • Utilize the CMMS system to schedule, document, and manage preventive maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and audits

  • Ensure all safety inspections are completed and accurately recorded within the CMMS system

  • Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure timely completion of scheduled work

  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed to support maintenance and preventive maintenance activities

  • Partner with Engineering and maintenance personnel to source and purchase replacement parts and maintenance supplies

  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors to support repair projects and preventive maintenance activities

  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation to support facility maintenance needs

  • Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and management to identify and resolve equipment-related issues

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and best practices

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned

**What We're Looking For:

**

  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial manufacturing and facility maintenance experience

  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and equipment reliability practices

  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, measuring devices, and material handling equipment

  • Working knowledge of occupational safety and health standards in a manufacturing setting

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

  • Dependable work ethic and strong attendance record

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

**Preferred Qualifications:

**

  • Experience using CMMS platforms

  • Recent and consistent manufacturing maintenance experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement

  • Experience supporting facility maintenance and equipment improvement projects

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

**Physical Requirements:

**

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and work throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods

  • Frequent use of hands, arms, tools, controls, and maintenance equipment

  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work around machinery, dust, non-toxic fumes, and industrial equipment

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus

**Work Environment:

**

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, including cold temperatures below 65°F and heat above 80°F

  • Well-lit facility with occasional exposure to noise levels exceeding 85 decibels

  • Fast-paced environment requiring a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
