Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for minimizing production and distribution downtime by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant and production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role performs preventive maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines, chillers, thermal controllers, conveyor systems, and related equipment. The technician also supports manufacturing through repairs and modifications to hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, and safety systems, along with general facility maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production equipment, complete work orders, and assigned tasks with a sense of urgency to maximize production and minimize downtime.

• Perform maintenance, repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance on injection molding machines, chillers, thermal controllers, conveyor systems, and associated equipment.

• Support manufacturing by performing repairs and modifications on safety, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal regulating systems, as well as facility repairs and PMs.

• Perform preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and other manufacturing equipment.

• Perform welding and fabrication.

• Requisition supplies, materials, tools, machine parts, and other necessary equipment.

• Complete all work orders in the CMMS system.

• Ensure correct parts and supplies are ordered to maintain equipment availability.

• Perform general housekeeping around presses, including color blenders, loading systems, and related equipment.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment and ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools and equipment.

• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and OSHA standards.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance of machinery preferred. Technical knowledge including mechanical and industrial maintenance along with troubleshooting experience.

• High School Diploma or GED. Two-year vocational, trade, or college a plus.

• History of safety and OSHA compliance.

• Able to work independently with little guidance.

• Able to work nights and a flexible shift.

• Must have strong verbal and reading skills.

• Must be capable of sustained lifting of up to 50 lbs and be able to repeatedly stand, climb, crouch, and walk.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position supporting manufacturing operations. The technician will work with production and maintenance teams to address equipment issues, minimize downtime, and maintain safe and efficient operations.
