Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing electrical and mechanical services to support the needs of production and ensure safe operation of the plant. Experiences and knowledge with maintaining industrial equipment (reactor, blending vessel, dryer, heat exchanger, vacuum pump, …), packaging equipment (blister, bottle, box, label, pouch, sealer, wrap, box …), and/or automated equipment (robotic, HMI, PLC, …) are desirable. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for conducting preventative maintenance work, including the review and evaluation of its cost-effectiveness and performance. In addition, this Maintenance Technician will be working closely with the Engineering to implement continuous improvement initiatives and install new equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledgeof mechanical principles.
- Preventative maintenance and routine maintenance of equipment and facilities systems
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering designand performance specifications.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
- Confer with management and other personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve systemmalfunctions.
- Plan and install of machinery and parts in line with design plans and timescales.
- Performs minor electrical maintenance, including but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixturesindustrial and electrical control equipment and components.
- Processing and/or packaging plant maintenance
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of production plan maintenance including electrical & instrumentation, pneumatics, utilities (chiller, compressed air, hot water, hot oil, and LNC), pumps, reactors, rotary equipment, pressure vessels.
- Comply with Policies and Procedures
- Knowledge of ISO and FDA standards/regulations a plus
- Team-player; works cooperatively with others to solve problems and proactively helps others when assistance is needed.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience Required:
- Minimum 5-year experience with industrial preventative & mechanical maintenance and packaging machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on electro-mechanical intuition and abilities
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to do minor electric work.
- Ability to maintain & fix PLC controls.
- Ability to think independently, as well as consistently collaborate and communicate with management.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a challenging, and consistently changing environment.
- Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours a day, occasionally required to stoop, bend, or kneel, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed.
Language Skills:
- English required, bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Physical Demands:
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, non-temperature-controlled production floor, temperature-controlled office.
