Job Description

Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for buildings, equipment, and systems. They also perform general maintenance of the facility and grounds.

Responsibilities/Key Processes

• Maintain the highest level of safety and housekeeping awareness. Ensure that safety procedures are followed at all times and maintain a good safety record

• Work closely with Maintenance Coordinator and Production Supervision to identify maintenance priorities.

• Maintain production equipment in the plant, including tower, bagger, palletizer, Fawema, grout mixer, etc. Ensure good PM schedules and practices are being conducted at all times. • Maintain campus and facility grounds and equipment as necessary

• Maintain all forklifts, air compressors, hand trucks, liquids equipment, lawn mower, etc…

• Apply 5S, lean manufacturing approaches and other continuous improvement initiatives into the plant and maintenance operation.

• Keep knowledge base & skill set current with technology employed in the plant

• Assist in development & manage the CMMS - Spare Parts, PM and Work Order process o Includes PMs to appropriate employees

• Work on new equipment installations, modifications and fabrications

• Help train new employees

• Provide supervision and equipment support on the plant floor

• Work as a team on process improvement issues - having a focus on safety and productivity

• Keep work area orderly and clean (good housekeeping of all work areas)

• Fully understand every position within the plant and be able to substitute in, if necessary • All other miscellaneous duties as assigned
