Maintenance Technician – Day Shift

📍 Harwood Heights, IL

🕖 Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

A leading manufacturer in Harwood Heights, IL is looking to hire a versatile Maintenance Technician to support both their production and facility operations. This is a hands-on, generalist role for someone with strong electro-mechanical skills and industrial maintenance experience who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work.

If you’re someone who can fix a furnace one day, rewire a motor the next, and repaint a wall the day after—that’s exactly who they need.

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing:

This is a hybrid role combining industrial equipment maintenance with facilities upkeep:

• Industrial Troubleshooting (50%) – Diagnose and repair CNCs, industrial ovens, furnaces, and HVAC equipment.

• General Facility Tasks (30%) – Adjust garage doors, repair hinges, paint walls, and replace/install electrical outlets.

• Electrical Maintenance (20%) – Handle basic wiring, motor repairs, and electrical troubleshooting.

• Plumbing Repairs (10%) – Perform light plumbing work as needed.

• HVAC Support (5%) – Assist with ongoing HVAC maintenance.

> 🧠 Important Note: This is not a highly automated or assembly-line environment—no massive machinery. Instead, expect a hands-on role with a wide range of tasks in a smaller facility.

✅ Must-Have Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics

• Comfortable handling both industrial and facilities maintenance

• Team player who thrives in a small, tight-knit maintenance crew

🌟 Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with CNCs, industrial ovens, HVAC units, or furnaces

• Skills in plumbing, painting, and door/hardware repair

• Technical certifications or advanced trade education
