Maintenance Technician – Industrial Manufacturing

We are looking for a hands-onMaintenance Technician to support a heavy industrial manufacturing facility in Yankton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting machinery, repairing equipment, and solving mechanical problems in a manufacturing environment.

We're interested in candidates from industrial maintenance, millwright, mechanical repair, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, diesel, field service, or manufacturing maintenance backgrounds. You don't need to have worked on our exact equipment—we're looking for strong mechanical skills, troubleshooting ability, and someone who can learn.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production machinery and equipment

• Diagnose mechanical failures and determine appropriate repairs

• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns

• Repair and replace bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, pumps, and other mechanical components

• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Perform equipment adjustments, installations, and changeovers

• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring tools

• Read equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

• Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed

• Follow lockout/tagout and other plant safety procedures

• Work with production employees to minimize downtime and keep equipment operating safely

What We're Looking For

• Previous industrial maintenance, mechanical maintenance, millwright, equipment repair, or related mechanical experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Experience working with machinery, motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, or pneumatics

• Ability to safely use hand and power tools

• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems rather than simply replace parts

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices

• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, or equipment manuals

• Dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working independently
