About the Role:

The Maintenance Tech 2 plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems across various departments. This position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. The Maintenance Tech 2 collaborates closely with other team members and management to identify potential issues before they escalate, contributing to a proactive maintenance culture. This role requires a strong understanding of technical systems and the ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in automated systems and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and plumbing to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to reduce equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other maintenance staff to prioritize work orders and respond to emergency repair requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.
