About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Alsip, IL bakery. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be accountable for performing preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on bakery equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations that support continuous production and food quality.

Compensation
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on bakery equipment to minimize downtime and support safe, reliable operation
Assist production teams in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and verify equipment readiness after repairs, changeovers, or downtime
Support troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and basic PLC-related issues
Operate tools and equipment such as saws, drills, power tools, scissor lifts, and forklifts in a safe and compliant manner
Document maintenance activities and findings in the Maintenance Management System and communicate updates via computer and email
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with GMPs, safety programs, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate work with bakery personnel and escort external contractors to minimize disruption to production and maintenance schedules
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
High school diploma
Plus, a minimum of 1 year of mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial/manufacturing machinery
OR 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial/manufacturing machinery
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment functions, operating procedures, and maintenance techniques
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and plan activities effectively
Ability to work safely around moving equipment and in a production environment
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
Experience in food, beverage, bakery, or other regulated manufacturing environment
Familiarity with equipment setup, changeovers, and preventative maintenance programs
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, or other material-handling equipment (with appropriate certifications)
Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with production, sanitation, and other departments
