Position Overview
As aMaintenance Technician II, you will use your technical skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) and various supporting systems throughout the building.
This position provides opportunities to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while developing technical skills and mentoring junior technicians.
Travel Requirement:At least 80% travel, often for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
Complete preventative maintenance routines and maintain proper documentation.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including:
- Conveyor belts
Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
Maintain positive working relationships across Operations.
Track, organize, and store department inventory.
Mentor and support junior maintenance technicians.
Move equipment, parts, and tools weighing up to49 pounds.
Stand and walk for shifts lasting up to12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Travel at least80% of the time, frequently for extended periods.
Physical Demands
The position requires the ability to perform:
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
Lifting parts and tools weighing an average of20 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to49 pounds.
Eye/hand and foot coordination.
Manual dexterity, including:
- Picking
Repetitive wrist flexion and rotation.
