Purpose of the Position:
The Maintenance Supervisor/Lead is responsible for executing maintenance plans and overseeing the day-to-day operations of projects at the plant. This role will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner. The Maintenance Lead will also manage contractors and vendors, provide field support, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee on-site contractors and vendors, ensuring timely and quality completion of work.
- Execute maintenance plans provided by the Maintenance Supervisor, including coordinating with the field team and answering any technical questions.
- Monitor progress of maintenance projects and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations on all maintenance projects.
- Assist with the training and development of the maintenance team.
- Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding project status, delays, and issues.
- Maintain accurate records within the computerized maintenance management systems, maintenance activities and provide regular updates to management.
- Commitment to all aspects of MSHA/OSHA and Environmental standards.
- This position can be expected to spend time in the field as needed.
- Make recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor for parts and supplies needed on hand.
- Maintain safe, neat and orderly work areas in and around the facility.
- Perform work in accordance with all applicable State and Federal mining laws.
- Follow safe working practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as described during training.

Job Specification (Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities):
- Technical certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a plant or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of plant equipment and maintenance practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in an industrial setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to high noise levels, heavy machinery, and outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
Supervisor Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications
Physical:
- Ability to obtain a PCP Level 3 according to the Department of Labor Standards.
Other:
Must be able to communicate both orally and written in the English language.
