Contingent Upon Award of Contract
Supervises simultaneous maintenance, modification, and repair projects on a variety of aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE). Coordinates with Government and contractor engineering personnel and inspectors. Tracks a variety of parts outsourced for repair, and cost estimating. Oversees maintenance servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft, aircraft engines, and GSE to ensure that aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. Ensures Government, OEM, and FAA maintenance requirements are met. Schedules maintenance and inspections. Obtains quotations from outside repair facilities for equipment that cannot be repaired or maintained in-house. Releases aircraft for flight. Recommends procedure changes to improve maintainability of aircraft and timely inspections. Consults manufacturers' manuals for specifications and determines feasibility of repair or replacement. Requires FAA aircraft and engine mechanic license or international equivalent.
Must be CH-47F qualified with relevant experience in MDS and US Army Regulations.
Associates degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) required.
Eight (8) years of experience in aviation maintenance, including 4 years experience as an aviation maintenance supervisor required.
