Supervision & Workforce Management
Provide daily work assignments, technical instruction, and direct supervision to mechanics and technicians.
Manage employee schedules, performance evaluations, training, and skill development.
Ensure team compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE policies.
Shop & Maintenance Operations
Oversee day-to-day shop operations, work order prioritization, and task completion.
Manage, refine, and enforce the facility’s Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and direct repairs on processing equipment and facility systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).
Cost Control & Inventory Management
Monitor and control maintenance department expenses against budget limits.
Track spare parts inventory, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate costs for supplies, external contractors, and equipment repairs.
Maintain logs and metrics on equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and repair timeframes.
