Maintenance Supervisor

Reports to:Maintenance Manager – SLC, UT Plant

About the Role:

Bridor USA is launching a brand-new industrial bakery plant in Salt Lake City, and we’re looking for an experiencedMaintenance Supervisorto lead our maintenance team from the ground up! This is a unique opportunity to help shape and grow a state-of-the-art facility while ensuring top performance, reliability, and safety of all equipment and systems.

This positionreports directly to the Maintenance Managerand will also gain hands-on experience at our other North American facilities inVineland, NJ; Bridgeport, CT; and Boucherville, Canadaas part of training. Candidates must be able to travel approximatelyevery two to threeuntil the Salt Lake City plant becomes fully operational in early 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily maintenance operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and work performed by external providers.

  • Manage maintenance parts inventory and coordinate purchase orders using IFS/CMMS.

  • Assign, prioritize, and follow up on work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and emergency repairs.

  • Monitor equipment performance, lead root cause analysis for recurring issues, and implement process improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, GMP, HACCP, BRC, and company safety and quality standards.

  • Train, coach, and evaluate maintenance technicians to maintain high performance.

  • Participate in capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.

  • Manage personnel, schedules, and productivity, addressing any performance or disciplinary issues.

  • Collaborate with production, QA, engineering, and R&D teams to support operational excellence.

  • Prepare specifications for service providers and coordinate external contractors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment (conveyors, motors, pumps, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics); ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental regulations; familiarity with GMP, HACCP, BRC, and EPA requirements.

  • Experience in welding, machining/part fabrication, plumbing, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, and mechanical power systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting over 50 lbs.

  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and temperatures ranging from blast freezers to boiler rooms.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
