**Summary: **
The Maintenance Supervisor directs day-to-day maintenance activities and coordinates Machine Maintenance and Electro/Mechanical Tech resources to support plant operations. This role is responsible for all activities and personnel associated with maintenance functions at an Ashley location, including building, machine, and support groups. The position requires collaboration with production management on equipment maintenance, training, and operations, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and systems corporate-wide.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
Direct and supervise day-to-day maintenance activities
Assign tasks to maintenance team members as necessary
Provide leadership to all personnel associated with maintenance functions
Coordination & Support
Coordinate Machine Maintenance and Electro/Mechanical Tech resources
Support production management with equipment maintenance, training, and operations
Ensure proper functioning of building, machine, and support systems
Continuous Improvement
Develop and implement continuous improvement recommendations
Identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems corporate-wide
Drive operational excellence in maintenance operations
Technical Oversight
Oversee maintenance of manufacturing and warehouse equipment
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Manage maintenance functions across various department processes
Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Associate Degree in Supervisory Management or related field (Desired)
Experience
Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing or distribution center environment (Required)
Previous supervisory experience (Required)
Experience with manufacturing or warehouse equipment and department processes (Required)
Work Environment:
This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
**Pay: **
$28- $36/hour
