Maintenance Supervisor – Heavy Industrial / Foundry

Lead maintenance in a 100+ year American manufacturing operation producing some of the largest and most highly engineered iron castings in the industry. This is an opportunity for an experienced maintenance leader to earn $85K–$100K, take ownership of critical equipment, lead a multi-craft team, and build a long-term career with a stable, family-owned manufacturer.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of multi-craft maintenance technicians

• Maximize equipment uptime and respond to critical breakdowns

• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs

• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment

• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring equipment failures

• Maintain critical foundry and heavy-manufacturing equipment

• Manage spare parts and critical maintenance inventory

• Coordinate contractors during shutdowns, rebuilds, and capital projects

• Partner with production leadership to improve equipment reliability

• Maintain strict safety standards including LOTO, confined space, fall protection, and PPE requirements

Equipment & Technology

You'll oversee maintenance involving:

• Electric induction furnaces

• Automated molding and pouring systems

• DISAMATIC, Hunter, and Sinto molding equipment

• Sand mixers, mullers, and aerators

• Conveyors and elevators

• Hydraulics and pneumatics

• PLCs and industrial controls

• 480V 3-phase electrical systems

• Water-cooling and charging systems

• Shot blast and grinding equipment

• CNC machinery

• Dust collection systems

• Cranes and lifting equipment

• Furnace refractory systems

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in heavy industry

• Foundry, steel mill, casting, forging, or similar heavy-manufacturing experience strongly preferred

• Experience leading multi-craft maintenance technicians

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge

• PLC troubleshooting experience – Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar

• Strong knowledge of 480V 3-phase power and control circuits

• Advanced hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge

• Experience with heavy-duty gearboxes, motors, alignment, and industrial equipment

• Induction furnace or melting-equipment experience highly desirable

• Experience with PM/PdM programs and CMMS

• Strong understanding of industrial safety and LOTO

• High school diploma/GED required

• Technical degree or journeyman card highly preferred

Why This Opportunity?

Work Environment & Safety

This is a hands-on leadership position within an active foundry environment. The role may occasionally require the use of a properly fitted respirator, so employees must be able to maintain facial hair in a manner that allows the required respirator to achieve a proper safety seal.
