The maintenance supervisor is primarily responsible for directing the overall maintenance activities to support the achievement of production objectives at the most competitive cost and consistent with the company quality standards and customer delivery requirements. This individual will perform a variety of hands-on maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement functions on plant equipment and machinery with little direction and guidance; must be self-proficient. Areas of responsibility will include all facets of the production environment as well as the facility’s maintenance, HVAC, hydraulics, and electrical work. They supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing the production equipment of the facility, in addition to supervising the coordination and completion of maintenance projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs workers engaged in operation equipment and building maintenance activities. Determines work priorities and schedules repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair CNC lathes, mills, hobbing equipment, saws, etc. through both hands-on work as well as directing activities of maintenance team.
Responsible for preventative maintenance schedules and for ensuring work is completed timely to accommodate production needs. Inspects completed work for conformance to requirements, specifications, and standards.
Adherence to LOTO procedures.
Fabricate and implement tooling and fixturing
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Establishes or adjusts maintenance work procedures to meet production schedules.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Ability to work in a team-centered atmosphere; hires, coaches, and develops new associates.
Initiates, coordinates, and ensures operational and personnel policies and procedures are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
