Job Overview:

#TeamAAM is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This is a 1st shift, fully onsite role.

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees proper functioning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and technologies at the Advanced Technology Development Center. This individual will supervise a team of equipment maintenance technicians across all three (3) shifts. They will assess equipment performance; identify improvement opportunities; implement those solutions. They also work with equipment vendors to schedule routine or preventive maintenance; coordinates across functions. This individual will work closely with engineering and suppliers to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing processes. They will also identify recurring problems and recommends corrective measures.

  • Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments and workflow to meet departmental goals/operational objectives.
  • Monitors performance to standards, budgets, and departmental goals and operational objectives / cost saving opportunities for maintenance and tooling.
  • Recommends or implements measures to motivate associates and to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Supervises maintenance associates' outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets maintenance operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; resolving problems; preventative maintenance; identifying system improvements.
  • Monitors and maintains KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, and drives actions as applicable.
  • Completes shift operations by monitoring maintenance services, reallocating resources, and solving operational problems across all three (3) shifts. Steps in as a technician for coverage when needed.
  • Documents maintenance services by completing forms, reports, logs, and records, ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Improves systems and equipment performance by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; immediately addressing issues and alerting others regarding potential concerns.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3-5 years of professional experience, or HS Diploma plus 5-7 years of equivalent relevant experience.
  • CNC machining, hydraulics, and pneumatic operations experience.
  • Familiar with electrical and safety regulatory requirements.
  • Highly skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Availability and willingness to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as requested.
