Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Superintendent

Location: Canton, Michigan

Industry: Automotive Parts Manufacturing

Schedule: Monday–Friday, split shift beginning around 12:00 PM; some flexibility available

Salary: $120,000+ annually, plus excellent benefits

Position Overview

An established automotive parts supplier in Canton, Michigan is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations in a highly automated manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong automotive manufacturing experience and hands-on leadership experience with robotics, laser welding, and FANUC robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead maintenance personnel and daily maintenance activities.
  • Support production by ensuring equipment and automated manufacturing systems remain operational.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain robotic and automated production equipment.
  • Provide technical support for FANUC Robotics and robotic welding applications.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain laser welding systems and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve equipment issues.
  • Promote a safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance operation.
  • Lead maintenance projects, equipment improvements, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Automotive manufacturing experience is required.
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent, or similar maintenance leadership role.
  • Experience with FANUC Robotics.
  • Experience with robotic welding and laser welding systems.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and industrial troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience leading and developing maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to work a Monday–Friday afternoon/split shift beginning around noon.
