Job Overview:
JOB SUMMARY:
JENNMAR Conveyors of PA is hiring a salaried Maintenance Supervisor in Blairsville, PA to be responsible for overseeing and delegating tasks to a team of maintenance technicians to troubleshoot, repair, install machinery/equipment to facilitate timely production and safe working conditions. The employee also performs these tasks alongside the team and tracks inside/outside preventative or emergency building/grounds maintenance.
EDUACATION/EXPERIENCE:
- HS/GED required; Vocational certification preferred
- Three-to-five (3-5) years demonstrated mechanical experience
- Valid driver’s license required
- Knowledge of conveyor belt systems preferred
- Experience with CMMS a plus
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and robotic systems
- Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work 40+ flexible schedule on short notice including weekends
- Listening, verbal, and written communication skills to facilitate effective training/supervision/evaluation of production and maintenance workers
- Proficient mathematical ability to provide technical support for production and maintenance activities
- Information-gathering and monitoring skills to facilitate effective, unbiased decision-making and problem-solving functions to control a variety of changing situations
- Organizational skills with great attention to detail and a quality assurance/safety orientation mindset
- Computer skills sufficient for the preparation and submission of
- Required reports and material requisitions
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude to oversee multi-stage production processes and routine/emergency repair of equipment, building, grounds
- A “team” mentality with leadership ability to provide direction to others
- Close visual acuity, total visual field, multiple limb coordination, and ability to sit/stand for extended periods while performing essential job duties
- Manual dexterity and medium/heavy (up to 65 lbs) lifting capability while performing essential job duties
- Ability to develop, maintain, and improve a proper predictive/preventative/corrective maintenance program
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate, schedule, and supervise production line activities in accordance with customer specifications, plant safety policies, and standard operating procedures while meeting shift production goals.
- Coordinate, schedule, and supervise maintenance and electrician activities to facilitate efficient, timely production and safe work environment.
- Interface with quality control and safety personnel and make adjustments as necessary during shift to ensure adherence to required specifications and standards.
- Coordinate, schedule, and supervise work assignments/rotations, overtime assignments, employee breaks, employee vacations, and substitution for absent employees.
- Conduct and complete employee performance reviews; recommend personnel actions such as hirings, promotions, discipline; prepare production and/or maintenance reports as required.
- Requisition materials and supplies, monitor inventory, plan material ordering.
