Join Oshkosh Aerotech as a Maintenance Repair Technician (MRT), where you'll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility infrastructure and building systems. This includes electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate closely with team members, and actively contribute to maintaining safety and operational excellence.

YOUR IMPACT

  • These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain and repair facility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building infrastructure.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency of building systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues within the facility.
  • Log detailed maintenance data into the CMMS.
  • Inspect and maintain lighting, power distribution, and backup systems.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, lifts, golf carts, and company vehicles.
  • Respond to maintenance calls and perform general facility repairs as needed.
  • Comply with company safety program and trainings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary site/security clearances.
  • Basic to intermediate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair skills.
  • 1+ years’ experience in facilities or maintenance operations.
  • Available to work 1st or 2nd shift, including weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with 480V and 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and building maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software.
  • General knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of the Maintenance Repair Technician, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small or confined spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand/eye coordination is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment includes both indoor facility spaces and outdoor areas. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Work may be performed around heavy equipment and active operational areas.
