Description
The Maintenance Planner-Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling all emergent and recurring maintenance work for the manufacturing production equipment and facility support equipment. They will also work to ensure high levels of equipment availability and coordination of maintenance activities with operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively support all Employee Health and Safety (EH&S) procedures and policies to ensure the maintenance team can work safely.
- Prepare work packages in the CMMS for every planned maintenance activity inclusive of Preventive Maintenance.
- Maintains training and knowledge in the CMMS to ensure the work order system is used properly and that all planning and scheduling activities are conducted within the system.
- Ensures all maintenance work order processes are kept up to date and clearly communicated to the maintenance team.
- Maintain and Update daily Metrics (KPIs) on L1 and L2 boards.
- Order, receive and supervise required material to assist maintenance activities.
- Coordinate weekly maintenance planning and scheduling meetings.
- Coordinate to rebuild spare equipment through external suppliers.
- Coordinate the service of facilities support equipment through outside service providers (Overhead cranes, air compressors, switch gear, forklifts, Acs, General Maintenance, Plumbing, etc.)
- Collect drawings, manuals and other documents and upload to CMMS to connect directly to the assets in order to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications.
- Submit engineering drawings for any further required revisions or upgrades.
- Coordinate plant shutdowns to attain all essential schedules.
- Execute modification in maintenance records and key equipment with critical spares to assist in setting appropriate reorder levels and min/max quantities.
- Minimize production downtime by coordinating maintenance plan and schedule with Operations
- Support department’s compliance to any Lean Manufacturing goals and objectives.
- Provide assistance to engineering for spare parts preparation and PM Lists for new equipment (Upgrades on PMs based on KPIs and Data Analysis from CMMS)
- Provide technical assistance for supporting entire on-site maintenance activities.
- Support proactively all EH&S procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of maintenance planning and scheduling related experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Demonstrated understanding of the Maintenance Work Order process relative to Work Identification, Work Planning and Scheduling, Work Execution, and Work Closeout.
- Solid understanding of technical concepts including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- CMMS experience is a plus, specifically with the eMaint platform
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Documented training in planning and/or scheduling in a manufacturing environment
