About the Role
As a Maintenance Planner at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in driving process improvements in the preventive maintenance program and supporting the overall operational efficiency of our production environment. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally across teams, offering the opportunity to directly contribute to equipment uptime, project cost savings, and workplace safety.
You will collaborate with production teams, project managers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations, adherence to safety procedures, and compliance with company policies. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Warren, OH.

What You’ll Do
• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices in compliance with OSHA and company policies
• Coordinates procurement and administration of consultant and contractor services, ensuring contractual compliance
• Assists with project management initiatives, including timelines, priorities, and resource planning
• Collaborates with production teams to support equipment reliability and work area safety
• Provides cost estimates, risk analyses, and production projections for proposed projects
• Evaluates and recommends improvements to manufacturing technology to optimize maintenance efficiency
• Utilizes SAP for maintenance task documentation and tracking
• Monitors compliance with Health and Safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) practices
• Partners with the Electrical Supervisor to implement continuous improvement strategies
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Maintains regular and predictable on-site attendance during scheduled hours
Who You Are
• 3+ years of multi-craft maintenance experience, including use of SAP or similar platforms
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (including pivot tables and logical functions), and PowerPoint
• Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with standard maintenance equipment
• Effective communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in problem-solving and troubleshooting technical issues
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and professional
• Able to read and interpret measuring devices and equipment accurately
