About the Role: 

As a Maintenance Mechanic at MeriCal, you will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of nutraceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment to troubleshoot and repair packaging machinery efficiently:

Essential Job Functions:

• Independently troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly, minimizing production downtime.
• Conduct repairs, including motor replacements, gearbox fixes, and other essential machine component repairs, often with minimal supervision.
• Utilize VOM meters and interpret electrical schematics to undertake necessary electrical repairs on packaging equipment.
• Read and interpret pneumatic/electrical schematics, effecting essential repairs on all packaging equipment.
• Operate maintenance equipment like milling machines, lathes, and other specialized tools crucial for task completion.
• Engage in facilities maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, wiring through conduit piping, and supporting senior mechanics with other facility maintenance issues or installations.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Familiarity with using VOM meter and basic understanding of how to read electrical schematics. PLC programming/troubleshooting and motor controls troubleshooting required. 24V-480 electrical troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of how to read pneumatic schematics.
• Familiarity with welding equipment and processes.
• Knowledge of both metric and standard units of measure.

Qualifications to be a Maintenance Mechanic:  

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Electrical certifications, Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred.
