JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Responsible for ensuring equipment is repaired and maintained in a timely manner with mechanical repairs, plumbing and preventative maintenance as per the Performance Work Statement (PWS). FT, $24.43
Essential Functions

1. Responsible for mechanical repairs of food service equipment.
2. Responsible for plumbing repairs.
3. Responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance of food service equipment is completed as required.
4. Service and maintain fleet of company vehicles.
5. Completing inventory, as directed.
6. Responsible for tagging equipment and turn in of equipment to DRMO/RIPL as required.
7. Assist with equipment and supply transportation as required.
8. Advise Logistics Manager of parts inventory needs and make necessary orders.
9. Pick up parts locally as needed.
10. In Logistics Manager absence, responsible for retrieving messages from the work order phone line.
11. Contact Logistics Manager regarding any emergency situations.
12. Maintains professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy.
13. Performs other job-related duties as required by management.

Oversight Responsibility
This position has no oversight responsibility. This position is responsible for ensuring all preventative maintenance of equipment is properly completed in coordination with the Maintenance Technician.
Work Environment
This job operates in an operational setting. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions such as extreme heat and / or cold, exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration, exposure to potentially dangerous situations (heights, electricity, etc.), and the noise level in the work environment can be loud.
This role routinely requires the position holder to be familiar with the operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting requirements of all equipment utilized in the food service facility including, but not limited to, working with refrigerant.

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is required to talk and hear; reach with hands and arms, possess manual dexterity; stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist and balance up to 8 hours per day; lift and/or move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Skills/Knowledge
This position requires at least an intermediate proficiency with refrigeration and electricity concepts.
This position requires performance of basic carpentry tasks and operation of fork lift, one-ton truck with manual or automatic transition, power tools, air tools, welder, pullers, porta band saw, chops saw, threader, grinder, and drill press.
This position requires basic computer skills.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This full-time position typically operates Monday thru Friday, 0700-1600; and on-call rotation.
Travel
Travel is generally not expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. Work experience in food service equipment repair and maintenance.
2. Five years’ experience or equivalent as Maintenance Mechanic or industry equivalent working with commercial kitchen equipment.
3. EPA Section 608 Technician Certification.
4. No required education level specified.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Ten years’ experience or equivalent as Maintenance Mechanic or industry equivalent working with commercial kitchen equipment.
2. Refrigeration Repair Certification.
3. On the job training.
Licenses/Work Authorization/Security Clearance
1. Valid Driver’s License with certificate of insurability (corporate auto policy).
2. Drug Screen.
3. Strength Test.
4. Air Force background check.
