Job Description

Applicants must be willing and capable of:

• Ensures operation of electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on pumps, motors, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
• Performs industrial maintenance functions in the installation, preventative maintenance, repair, modification and improvement of a wide variety of equipment
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Determines changes in dimensional and electrical requirements of parts by inspecting and using measuring instruments
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment including welders, lathe, and mill
• Troubleshoots manufacturing equipment including grinders, stuffers, and meat pumps and packaging equipment including Multivacs, slicer, and metal detectors
• Troubleshoots 480V, control, VFDs, and PLCs
• Assists production in setup and tear down of equipment
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ability to work independently and a team environment

Skills/Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or Electricity
• 3+ years of experience in Thermo Form Machines, Electrical, Hydraulics and PLC's
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
