The Opportunity:
The Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 (MML 2) is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of various mechanical systems and equipment. This role generally requires an advanced level of technical skills and knowledge, and is expected to handle complex mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure that equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime.
What You’ll Do:
- Utilize working knowledge of all packaging equipment and possess the capability to learn how to make.
- repairs in a timely manner necessary to support production.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs on industrial machinery, systems, or equipment.
- Use of maintenance equipment such as milling machines, bench grinders, air tools, hydraulics, belt sanders.
- and other small shop tooling necessary to complete the job at hand.
- Ability and willingness to perform all jobs assigned by the Supervisor
- Experience using CMMS.
- Ability to support and train production personnel.
- Maintain a well-organized, safe Maintenance shop.
- Install and set up new machines or components, ensuring they are functioning correctly before being used in production or other operations.
- Diagnosing and repairing more complex issues, performing partial or complete overhauls, and utilizing.
- Advance ability to interpret, troubleshoot electrical pneumatics, schematics as well as technical manuals.
- Experience in welding techniques MIG/TIG.
- Basic PLC I/O troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts.
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Reassemble equipment after repair.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations when working with machinery and equipment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in a mechanical role or equivalent, preferable with working knowledge of packaging equipment and basic maintenance procedures.
- Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently to comprehend equipment manuals, information regarding hazardous chemicals and all equipment instruction, warning signs and decals.
- Ability to quickly identify issues and find effective solutions.
- Basic understanding of how to read pneumatic schematics.
- Experience in mechanical maintenance, typically in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of both metric and standard measure units.
- Ability to think critically and come up with efficient solutions to complex problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Mentoring junior mechanics, providing guidance, and sharing technical knowledge
- Coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and efficient maintenance schedules.
- Conducting root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues and implementing long-term solutions.
- Leading major repair and installation projects, often taking ownership of high-priority tasks.
- The specific types of machinery or equipment you've worked on (e.g., conveyors, HVAC systems, robotics,
- pumps, boilers).
- Collaboration with other maintenance personnel, operators, or engineers to address production needs.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $25.00-$33.00. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
