This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation”
  • These General Mechanic positions could work any department in Harvest or Processing of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Lifting is required, 70 pounds or more. These positions work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments (30 degrees to 105 degrees). Must be mechanically inclined. Welding experience preferred.
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and a 3 time limit

Requirements:

6 months experience of mechanic work in the work history section of application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
