Job Overview:

The Maintenance Mechanic at Pall is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment within our continuous production operation in Timonium, Maryland. This role requires skills to keep manufacturing machines in proper working order while ensuring compliance with Environmental Health, Safety (EHS), and Quality standards in all maintenance activities.

The maintenance mechanic monitors controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production and process specifications. Responsibilities include installing, modifying, repairing, and dismantling machinery and equipment according to established documentation, such as SOPs, layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings. The incumbent will also perform setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other equipment.

This position requires a team-oriented individual willing to assist others on the maintenance team, production lines, and contractors to achieve corporate and site goals related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. The role is on-site in Timonium, MD, and follows a C shift schedule. Typical work hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Install, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls while troubleshooting hydraulics, electronics, software, and electrical systems.

  • Demonstrate fabrication and machining skills, including knowledge of and ability to work on pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping systems.

  • Complete planned and preventative procedures while maintaining records and reports of service/work performed inside the AMMS management system.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of related maintenance and/or electrical work experience.

  • Ability to read part manuals, assembly instructions, technical documents, blueprints, and troubleshooting guides

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods.

  • Can climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Hazardous Waste handling

  • Industrial and/or Manufacturing businesses with experience in producing products.

  • Strong conceptual thinking, analytical problem-solving, and internal/external business challenge interpretation.
