Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, repair, and reliability of facility systems and manufacturing support equipment. This role requires a well-rounded background in mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, compressed air systems, wet dust collectors, ovens, motors, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct routine safety inspections (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, eyewash stations, etc.) to ensure compliance
- Follow and update preventive maintenance schedules and checklists
- Maintain and track spare parts inventory
- Safely operate hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and facility repairs as needed
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized work
- Build custom pallets and crates for equipment and materials
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
Qualifications
- Previous facilities or industrial maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Experience with motors, pumps, conveyors, ovens, and dust collection systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call if needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Forklift and aerial lift experience
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling and RCRA compliance
- Experience calibrating pH meters
- Basic welding and fabrication skills
- Ownership of basic mechanical hand tools
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay:
Up to $36.00 per hour (based on experience)
