We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing machinery, electrical systems, and facility equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters, schematics, and diagnostic procedures to identify root causes swiftly.
  • Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and adjust automated systems for optimal performance.
  • Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity or modify machinery components.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist with electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including wiring, circuit testing, and component replacement.
  • Support facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC system upkeep, residential painting, and general building repairs.
  • Supervise or assist with team projects when required, demonstrating leadership in maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries.

Experience

  • Proven experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance roles with a strong background in mechanical repair and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their programming or troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks; certification is a plus.
  • Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing with tools like ohmmeters, and understanding of electrical codes.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience demonstrating effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Experience working with CMMS platforms for work order management and record keeping.
  • Ability to read technical schematics accurately and interpret complex mechanical or electrical diagrams.
