Overview: Working in accordance with verbal and written instructions and established procedure, and as assigned by the supervisor or foreman, perform a variety of duties, including:
Responsibilities:
• Mechanic will assist in installing, repairing, rebuilding and diagnosing all machines and equipment as assigned by the supervisor or foreman.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties and effect repairs and adjustments, either temporary to keep machine in production, or if possible, permanently, as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment as instructed and specified on preventive maintenance work orders and assist in the design of preventative maintenance program.
• Must be able to run and test machinery through various cycles.
• Perform a wide variety of machining and welding tasks required to produce metal and wood products according to specifications.
• As needed, must be able to operate boom lift, forklift, platform lift etc. in order for various maintenance projects to be performed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
• Observe all Corporate safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Must understand the company’s commitment to food, safety, quality, and continuous improvement as outlined in the Polar Beverages Safety and Quality Policy and to understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job.
• Must understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and to ensure GMP compliance of fellow employees.
• Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality
Minimum Requirements:
• Employee must be capable of working a 10 hour day
• Must frequently use hand(s) for repetitive movement single grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Must perform heavy work, lifting from 1 lb. to 75 lbs.
• Must frequently use foot/feet for repetitive movement as in operating foot controls.
• Must frequently bend, twist, squat, climb and reach.
