**Role Summary
**
The Maintenance Mechanic performs routine to moderately complex maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing processes. This role involves diagnosing and resolving machinery breakdowns, utilizing various tools, and conducting preventative maintenance tasks with increasing independence.
**Key Responsibilities
**
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery in accordance with diagrams, blueprints, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
Perform basic to moderately complex routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
Diagnose and repair breakdown in machinery
Handle moderately complex mechanical issues and refer more complex problems to higher-level staff.
Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

**Required:

Education: High School
Experience: Works independently on well-defined tasks and demonstrates increasing confidence in performing repairs with minimal supervision.
Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience
