Job Title: Facilities Suite & Elastomer Maintenance Mechanic – Level III
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Summary:
The Facilities Suite & Elastomer Maintenance Mechanic Level III supports the Engineering Services group by operating and performing daily checks on direct and indirect maintenance equipment and systems. This role assists higher-level mechanics with repairs while ensuring compliance with company and departmental SOPs. The individual will work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented team environment and perform both routine and advanced troubleshooting tasks, maintaining detailed GMP-compliant records in electronic and written form.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all work safely, adhering to GMP guidelines, SOPs, and work instructions.
Execute suite and elastomer preventative maintenance practices for manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair direct and indirect manufacturing equipment and systems.
Maintain maintenance areas in an audit-ready state at all times.
Stay current with required job-related training.
Demonstrate knowledge of the elastomer program, including package creation, spares requisition, LOTO boundaries, and work execution.
Use CMMS functions to document assigned maintenance activities.
Follow spare parts policies and procedures for parts transactions.
Apply knowledge of quality systems (DMS & TrackWise).
Participate in safety training programs and use tools and equipment safely per guidelines.
Interpret equipment schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings for manufacturing processing equipment.
Collaborate with Reliability & Engineering teams on projects and assist as a subject matter expert in root cause investigations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Meet the Maintenance Skills Matrix Level III proficiency (Skills Matrix score of 1.5–1.9 for both Trade and Equipment Skills).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency in using hand tools.
Ability to learn to read complex mechanical drawings.
Basic computer skills.
Strong comprehension and application of SOPs.
Working knowledge of shop math, with reading and writing abilities.
Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge.
Shift & Schedule:
Current team works 12-hour shifts in a 3- and 4-day pattern:
Shift A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.
Shift B: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.
For the first 90 days, training will occur Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, before transitioning to the regular shift pattern.
