Maintenance Mechanic

• Portage, IN

• $33 – $38/hour

• 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Available

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment

• Adjust machinery to ensure optimal performance

• Record downtime and identify causes

• Replace and repair machine parts as needed

• Set up equipment on production lines according to specifications

• Respond quickly to maintenance issues to support production schedules

• Participate in maintenance and machine training sessions

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of maintenance mechanic experience preferred

• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and plumbing systems

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently

• Experience using manual and pneumatic hand tools

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and reach above shoulder level

• Good organizational and communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Relevant certifications are a plus
