Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery, equipment, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, practical problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. This role is responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance and timely repairs.

Experience working on forklifts is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of machinery and equipment.
• Develop and maintain schedules for equipment inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
• Read, interpret, and follow equipment manuals, technical instructions, and operating procedures.
• Clean, repair, replace, and install equipment components and parts as needed.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify potential equipment issues and address problems before they result in downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform general building and facility maintenance as assigned.
• Support other maintenance activities and projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, industrial mechanic, or in a similar maintenance role.
• Trade school or vocational training preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and technical instructions.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use maintenance-related software or systems.
• Good physical dexterity and ability to perform hands-on maintenance work.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Forklift repair or maintenance experience is a plus.
